Prof. Nirankar Singh Neki, MBBS, MD(Internal Medicine) working as Professor and Head of Medicine unit 2 at Govt. Medical College Amritsar, India. He has teaching experience of 30 years as an undergraduate teacher and 28 years as a postgraduate teacher. He has an entry in the Limca Book of Records of 2015 for being the recipient of four Fellowships of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Ireland, and London). Prof. Anthony R. Mawson is a Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health, College of Health Sciences at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi, USA. His major research interests are in the role of vitamin A and the liver in the origins of health disparities and in acute and chronic diseases. Recent work has included studies of “river blindness”, with Williams H. Makunde, MD, MPH, National Institute for Medical Research, Tanzania, supported by an investigator-initiated research grant from Pfizer. Dr. Beckley Ikhajiagbe is an academic and a research scientist with deep interests in Ecophysiology and Environmental Biotechnology. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Plant Biology and Biotechnology, University of Benin, Nigeria. His chosen field of interests is primarily to fuel the drive for a sustainable environment. His research focus spans through hazardous waste management and restoration biotechnology; plant-microbial interactions; plant environmental stress tolerance mechanisms and development; soil microbiology; environmental mutagenetic studies; water and wastewater treatment; environmental impact assessment; as well as sustainable resource use and environmental sustainability coping strategies. Prof. Omoanghe S. ISIKHUEMHEN who holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology, is a Professor of Mushroom Biology and Fungal Biotechnology in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Design at North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro, North Carolina, USA. His research interest is in the application of mushroom and mushroom products in animal and human health, as well as the application of fungi in the remediation of various environmental pollutants. His research on mushrooms and truffles has earned him recognition worldwide. He has published extensively in the area of fungal biotechnology, especially on white rot mediated solid-state fermentation, biodegradation, and bioconversion of lignocellulosic biomass to bio- products.

Prof. Solomon Ike Okosun is a Professor of the School of Public Health at Georgia State University (GSU). He received his doctorate from The University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public Health and has over 25 years of experience in public health. Prof. Okosun is a chronic disease epidemiologist who is an internationally recognized expert in the epidemiology of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome. María Teresa Barral is a Professor at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC). Dept. Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry. With Degree in Biology and Pharmacy and PhD in Biology (USC). Her research focuses on the environmental field, studying soil quality, soil and sediment pollution, and waste treatment and management. In this later field, she conducted studies on the composting of urban, agricultural and agroindustrial wastes, compost characterization and its use in agriculture, in soil restoration, preparation of substrates for horticulture and water decontamination. We have also addressed the reuse of industrial wastes (red mud from, granite and slate wastes) and the recovery of contaminated or degraded soils (pesticides, metals, forest fires). Other main line focuses on the study of sediments as historical records of river pollution and the environmental role of fluvial biofilms. A more recent research line evaluates the properties, functions, quality and sustainable management of soils in urban environments.

Dr. Moses Okpeku holds PhD in the field of Genetics and Genomics. He had his postdoctoral training at Kunming Institute Zoology, Yunnan Province of China. Dr. Atin Adhikari Assistant Professor of Environmental Health Sciences, Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Environmental Health Sciences, Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health, Georgia Southern University. Dr. Adhikari brings over 15 years of extensive research experience on aerosols, airborne microorganisms, other air pollutants, and related respiratory disorders. His current research areas include environmental air quality, exposure assessment, occupational health and safety, environmental microbiology, and respiratory health. As the Principal Investigator (PI) on a previous CDC-NIOSH-funded R03 grant, he has examined the associations between bioaerosol exposures, allergic rhinitis, asthma, and other respiratory symptoms and conditions among farm workers. He has also supervised (PI) two other HUD and NIH-NIEHS (R21) grants on exposures to immunomodulator bioaerosols and pesticide residues in developing allergic asthma. In his recently funded NIEHS R21 multi-PI grant (2015-2018) he is exploring the role of traffic related air pollutants in respiratory tract microbiome of asthmatic and non-asthmatic children. He has examined filtration efficiency of N95 masks against airborne nanoparticles on construction jobsites in a recently completed CPWR-NIOSH supported grant. Before joining at JPHCOPH Dr. Adhikari was also involved (Co-I) with two DoD-DTRA and U.S. Office of Naval Research funded projects on inactivation of hazardous microorganisms. He has provided peer-review service to numerous national and international journals and participated in several national and international research grant review panels of CDC (NIOSH), NIH (NIEHS and NIAID), The Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO), and WorkSafeBC (Workers Compensation Board of British Columbia), Canada. Dr. Adhikari is currently supervising four JPHCOPH DrPH students on the following dissertation topics: (a) workers compliance with PPEs, (b) risk management procedures for potential microbial contaminations in Georgia hotels, (c) mold, moisture damage, and poor housing conditions in Greater Atlanta area, and (d) childhood asthma management in Nigeria. Tobias Vudriko is the Head - Serology Laboratory Section, MRC/UVRI & LSHTM Uganda Research Unit. started working with MRC/UVRI in February 1999 as medical Laboratory technologist. Prof. Marcello Iriti is a Professor of Plant Biology and Pathology at the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, Milan State University. Dr. Abraham Brown FHEA ACIM is a Lecturer at the Nottingham Trent University, where he teaches business related modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He worked as a post‐ doctoral researcher at the University of Stirling for three years on several tobacco control and alcohol use and misuse projects.
